After doing this shoot I have some questions... Should I edit out my tattoo/piercing marks? Should I airbrush them or leave them as they are? I want a neutral shot to start with. I experimented with different facial expressions but when it came down to it I was trying not to evoke any emotion. Should these pictures be black and white? I will post the images I feel are working once they are edited. I meet with Jeff on Wednesday so I can get some more direction.
I think Im just relieved that I finally got into the studio. As long as I stay on top of the schedule online I think I can get in there when I need to. Today I was all by myself and I didnt have to worry about exposing myself or people distracting me. After doing this shoot Im not sure if I will still go in the same direction. Do I want to focus more on race/ethnicity or on gender? Its hard for me not to think gender.
If I am going to be creating these different personas, should I include different genders? Will it be important to disguise my identity or is it more about the experience/performance? Once I start doing these characters will it be more effective in the studio or trying to find a location. Should they be full body or all the same pose and crop?
