Cassie Mulheron is a Senior that will be graduating in December with a dual degree in Women's Studies and Photography. She hopes to pursue an MFA in Art therapy to bring together all of her studies and continue to help others. Apart from being a full time student, she also works a full time job as a photo supervisor. Cassie curated both Women's Studies Art shows, is the Art Director of Amendment and belongs to the Women's Studies Advisory Board. Recently, she attended VCU's First Lady's reception as an honored student. Her work was chosen to hang in Equality VA's Juried Art Show and Auction in 2009 and was featured as a finalist in Photographer's Forum 2008 "Best of College". Her work has appeared in Amendment and an lgbtq artist compilation No labels, Just me. Cassie is currently working on her Senior Thesis in Photography relating to how minorities are "othered" and what happens when the roles are reversed. She enjoys researching and focusing her work on bi-raciality, multi-culturalism and anything reverse of what is considered our cultural norm. In her freetime she enjoys playing rugby and roller derby and plans to return to them once she is less bombarded.
